    Description

    Stabilized poplar burl resin billet

    Here is a beautiful stabilized poplar burl resin billet intended to meet all requirements for Kiesel Guitars.   This set is vacuum infused with dyed stabilizing resin, so the color goes all the way through.  In many sets, we apply multiple colors of dyed resin.  Stabilizing is a process of vacuum infusing heat resin that is heat cured to harden and stabilize wood.  The wood becomes more durable and easier to machine, mill, sand and polish.  We recommend West Systems 2 part epoxy for gluing and laminating.  Stabilizing wood does not fill in voids or cracks.  So please look closely at the entire billet.   This billet is sanded flat on both sides to 100 grit. This piece is not cut into any shape.
